The AMA (WA) wins big – and permanency begins – for members
Thursday April 18, 2024
Eleven practitioners from one worksite will share in almost $1 million over a two-year period as a result of AMA (WA) negotiations on their behalf.
These doctors will also be the first to sign permanent contracts with WA Health, marking a new era for senior practitioners.
Negotiations were continuous for a seven-month period, which led to a positive outcome for members.
The AMA (WA) exists to protect and enhance the industrial conditions of its members, and this is just one example, albeit a significant one, of the outcomes consistently achieved.
