Successful March with two events for junior doctors and medical students
Monday March 31, 2025
March was a big month at the AMA (WA), with two highly successful events. We kicked off with the Medical Careers Expo 2025, held in partnership with the Postgraduate Medical Council of WA (PMCWA), followed by a sold-out Junior Doctors End of Term Drinks, hosted in collaboration with JMO societies from hospitals across Perth.
Medical Careers Expo 2025
The Medical Careers Expo took place on Tuesday 25 March at The University Club of Western Australia, attracting nearly 200 attendees eager to explore career pathways.
Medical students and junior doctors had the chance to engage with specialty college representatives, exhibitors, and industry experts, gaining valuable insights into their future careers.
The Expo was proudly supported by:
- Platinum: Smith Coffey
- Gold: St John of God Health Care
- Silver: Joondalup Health Campus
- Bronze: Avant, Ahpra, Institute for Health Leadership, MIGA, Rural Health West
Junior Doctors End of Term Drinks
To celebrate the end of term, the AMA (WA) partnered with Fiona Stanley Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Joondalup Health Campus, Perth Children’s Hospital, and St John of God Midland JMO societies to host a fantastic evening on Saturday 29 March at Stories Rooftop Bar, Perth.
This sold-out event was a great opportunity for junior doctors to connect, unwind, and catch up with colleagues from different hospitals, all while enjoying great food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere.
Proudly sponsored by MDA National and St John of God Health Care.
