2024 WA Health Agreement – Registered and in effect from 28 November

Following extensive negotiations with WA Health, and significant engagement with members and non-members, the WA Health System – Medical Practitioners – AMA Industrial Agreement 2024 (the Agreement) was registered with the WA Industrial Relations Commission (WAIRC) and came into effect from 28 November.
Practitioners employed under the Agreement as of the lodgement date are eligible for a 4.75% increase in salary and allowances, with back payments to 3 September 2024. Health Support Services (HSS) has confirmed the following implementation dates:
Alesco Payroll:
- New salary and allowances will be effective from 2 December 2024.
- The first pay day under the new terms will be 19 December 2024 (pay period: 2 December 2024 – 15 December 2024).
- Retrospective back payments for the period 3 September 2024 – 1 December 2024 will be made on 19 December 2024.
Lattice Payroll:
- New salary and allowances will be effective from 2 December 2024.
- The first pay day under the new terms will be 19 December 2024 (pay period: 2 December 2024 – 15 December 2024).
- Retrospective back payments for the period 3 September 2024 – 1 December 2024 will be made on 16 January 2025.
These dates apply solely to payroll changes for salary and allowances. All other Agreement changes take effect immediately following registration.
The AMA (WA) will closely monitor the implementation process to ensure compliance with the Agreement and the timely application of all agreed terms.
