96% vote in favor of new SJOG Enterprise Agreement

Friday December 13, 2024

Doctors at St John of God Health Care have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement that ensures they receive the pay and conditions achieved by the AMA (WA) in the WA Health Industrial Agreement that recently came into effect.

The St John of God Health Care – AMA WA – Medical Practitioners Enterprise Agreement 2023 received the endorsement of 96% of those who voted. This followed lengthy negotiations by the AMA (WA) with St John of God to achieve the offer placed before the doctors to match WA Health pay and conditions.

It is a vindication of the hard work, and lengthy and inclusive process that went into achieving the WA Health Agreement, which has now had a flow-on effect for doctors in the private sector. Congratulations to all involved, especially the AMA (WA)’s IR team, SJOG representatives who led the negotiations, and the engaged AMA (WA) members at St John of God who fought for this result. The AMA (WA) will now work with SJOG to effect the Agreement.
